      It’s interesting how most rope gear isn’t really anything “new” as much as it is development of rather old concepts and equipment. There’s only so many ways you can create friction on a piece of rope.

    1. I was kinda thinkin the same thing. But for right or wrong, lanyards seem to be seldom seen these days. I think that some guys accept the risk for easier hand switches and less entanglement issues. I always feared getting stuff stuck in my rappel device.

      But a dropped Glock could change ones entire outlook I guess.
