More on building clearing.
There are a number of methods that can be used when clearing a multi-room structure. For this lesson I will focus on two of the basic ones.
Room by Room: The clearing elements take each room one at a time, moving to the next room only after the last has been secured. In an ideal manpower situation, one to two operators will be left behind in each room to ensure that the BG cannot double back and occupy a previously cleared room. A room by room clearing can be either deliberate or dynamic depending on the tactical situation.
The Building Flood: If you have enough operators another option is the “flood”. Each room is entered and cleared by it’s own team in as rapid a manner as possible. Advance intelligence on room layout is necessary to perform a flood and, as the objective is a rapid clearing, is typically done in a dynamic manner.
